Showers!!

Wesley and I have been tremendously humbled by the generosity of so many sweet friends! Our first shower was our Tool and Garden Shower in the fall (which I posted about earlier), and then in December we had a Christmas shower in Dothan! I was so excited to get so much of our Christmas china, nativity scenes, beautiful ornaments, Christmas hand towels, etc.

Two weeks ago I had a Kitchen and Linen Shower hosted by some sweet friends! I know that these gifts are going to get a lot of use in our home! (I don't have a picture from this shower to post, but will get copies from my parents' camera)

Last night, my parents' supper club hosted a Couple's His and Her Shower for me and Wesley! It was so much fun! They had a Mexican themed party...the decorations were so cute and the Moe's mexican food was delicious! The hosts gave us a gas grill. Even though it was raining when we got back to Auburn today, Wesley managed to get the grill assembled and he grilled out burgers as soon as the rain let up a little bit! Here are some pics from the party last night!

A little progress on the house...

(This post is mainly for mom to see what I have done so far and to give her input...)

I just didn't realize how much TIME and MONEY that it takes to decorate a home! I will never again walk into a beautifully decorated home and not appreciate it! We have made some progress, but still have a lot of work to do! Here are some pics!

I was worried about what we were going to do with an ORANGE bedroom,(I guess we can get away with an orange room since we live in Auburn)so I looked online for some decorating tips. I found the pillow at Pier One and thought that it was perfect!

The den is a work in progress...we have NOTHING on the walls, but I did find some pillows that I liked and thought that it added some much needed color to this room!

I also found these rusted glass candlesitcks at Pier One for the mantle. Im trying to decide if I am going to buy 2 more for the other side, or just stick with the picture frame for now.
