February in PC

The weather this weekend was absolutely PERFECT! 73-78 degrees and not a cloud in the sky! Joy and I took Jillian to the beach all day on Saturday while the boys studied. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day. It makes me excited that Spring is right around the corner.

This past weekend was a lot of fun! On Friday, Bethany stopped by on her way to the airport in PC. We got to visit for several hours and then she helped me make enchiladas for the first "Anesthesia Wives Club" dinner party! (Sorry that I look so terrible in this pic...had not taken a shower and had only had 4 hours of sleep since I worked the night before)

The party was a lot of fun! It was Mexican themed and everyone brought a dish. It was good hearing from some of the wives in the upper class about how things get so much better in a few months when the students are through with the classroom aspect of school and just have clinicals. And of course there was a lot of gossip...but I kinda liked hearing the scoop! :)

Then on Sunday after chuch, I went to a baby shower for a co-worker at Unlce Ernie's. We sat outside with a great view of the Bay. Then I got to spend the evening with Wesley at home!

It was a busy weekend, but a lot of fun! I am so thankful for how the Lord has blessed us here with such sweet friends!

Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day! I know that most people hate Valentine's Day because of it being "just another Hallmark holiday," but I love it! I love celebrating ALL holidays...I'm even looking forward to St. Patrick's Day in a month from now! This year we have even gotten a few Valentine's Day cards in the mail from friends which are on our fridge :) I have had my V-Day wreath out since the middle of January!

We babysat Nick and Joy's daughter, Jillian, at our house the other night and made Valentine's Day cupcakes!

Wesley knows how much I like this holiday, and he also knows just how cheesy I can be! We celebrated Valentine's Day yesterday by spending time on the beach and then ordering take-out and renting a movie! This was my gift....

It is a bowl of chocolates with "10 reasons why I am still in love with you!" If you know me well, then you know that it just melted my heart!! I feel so blessed to have such a wonderful Valentine!

This weekend Wesley's parents came for a visit since Wesley had a free weekend that he didn't have to study. We spent the part of the day on Saturday at Seaside. The water was beautiful, and even though it was a little too chilly for bathing suits, I LOVED just being outdoors and getting some sunshine. Seaside had their local farmer's market on Saturday and Wesley's mom bought some fresh cabbage! We enjoyed eating outside at Uncle Ernie's on Saturday night and watching the sunset on the water! It was nice to be able to show his parent's where we live. Hope that they had a good time!

BUNKO

Tonight we had our first Sunday School social at our teachers' house. We had an Italian dinner and played Bunko! If you have never played before, it is a really fun dice game and doesn't require ANY skill....but it was a great way to get to know everyone better (and bring out my competitive side....and YES, I WON! :)

We are looking forward to many more activities with our class!
