Seattle and Whidbey Island, Washington

For Christmas this past year, my parents bought me a plane ticket to go and visit 2 high school friends living in or near Seattle. Alana and her husband are there because her husband is stationed in Whidbey Island with the Navy, and Taylor is living in Seattle for the summer because her husband is doing an internship there with a plastic surgeon. I flew up on Thursday and came home last night. We had a great time seeing all of the sights, eating delicious food, and just catching up and being together! Here are some pics of my trip!

This was the view from Taylor's sister's home in Seattle! Abby and Jeremiah were so kind to let us stay there for 2 nights!

I loved getting to see the Sleepless in Seattle house!

I am glad that Alana and her husband will likely be in the Seattle area for another 6 years, so that I can go back and do it all again...but next time I am bringing Wesley! I had a wonderful vacation and made a ton of memories! Thanks Mom and Dad for flying me out there!

"Wes the Anesthetist"

That was the heading of the e-mail that I opened this past week. The CRNA that Wesley was working with decided to take pics of Wesley in action!

I've forgotten now why he said he had to wear the blue lead vest...I think he said radiology was there to take an x-ray. It's unbelievable to me how much Wesley has learned in the past 10 months! 18 more months to go until he is completely on his own! YAY!!!!! The countdown is officially on....so I added a countdown to the bottom of the blog!

Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Cain

This weekend Wesley and I were in Atlanta for Anthony Cain and Kelly Sarama's wedding. Welsey and Anthony were roommates while Wesley and I were engaged and they became great friends! We had a great weekend and enjoyed celebrating with the two of them. Here are some pics of the wedding weekend.

We got to ATL on Friday just in time for the Rehearsal Dinner! Looks like Wesley was trying hard to keep his eyes open in this one :)

The wedding was at a plantation called Flint Hill. It was a beautiful outdoor setting!

The grooms table had 3 cheesecakes from the Cheesecake Factory. Wesley got the red velvet and I got the Reese peanut butter cheesecake....wish that we could have sampled the turtle one too......

We had a really great weekend! It was so nice getting out of town for a weekend away with my husband, and we both enjoyed seeing sweet friends!
