Jennifer and Jon's wedding weekend in Nashville

Wesley and I have been looking forward to this past weekend for a while now. We both love who Jennifer married and feel like he makes a great addition to our family. It is kinda weird how the size of your family doubles when you get married, and it is continuing to grow!

Wesley couldn't get out of class early on Friday, so we flew out of PC and made it just in time for the Rehearsal Dinner at the Old Spaghetti Factory in downtown Nashville.

Isn't Wesley's grandma the cutest thing!!

The wedding was at 2:00 on Saturday. It was my first Catholic wedding to ever go to so I had planned on a long wedding, but the wedding lasted about an hour and we headed to the reception which was at a place called One Eleven Broadway.

During the ceremony, we noticed the bottom of Jon's shoes when they were kneeling. So cute:)

Here are a few more pics from the weekend!

Birthdays and Baby Showers

Last weekend was my grandmother's 81st birthday! Wesley and I drove up to Dothan to celebrate with my family. We took Grandma a cake and were so happy when 2 of her best friends from Headland showed up to eat cake with us! Wesley said it was like spending an afternoon with the Golden Girls! We both said that we hope to have sweet friends to celebrate birthdays with us when we are 81!

Since last weekend, her heath has gotten worse. She is now on oxygen and has moved in to my parents house. Please keep her in your prayers.

Yesterday we hosted a baby shower for Maggie Serota, one of my best friends from high school. We had the shower at Taylor's house in Birmingham. Everything went well and there was a great turnout.

She got a lot of great things for the baby! Her name is going to be a surprise, but I am looking forward to meeting that little girl in 10 weeks!

Don't cry over spilt milk....

OR spilt green bean casserole!! Last night we were going to have a delicious dinner. My mom made some wonderful white wine chicken and froze it for us. Our plan was to heat that and have sweet potatoes, and I asked Wesley what other side he wanted me to fix. He said either squash casserole or green bean casserole. I thought that green bean casserole sounded so good, so I went to Publix and got all of the ingredients. I guess I got a little too excited about our dinner, and when I pulled the casserole out of the oven, I didn't get a good grip and dropped it!!!!!!!! It doesn't look nearly as appetizing when it is out of the casserole dish. We had to wait for the oven to cool before we could really scrub it and the storage space under the oven.

In other news, I am LOVING this fall weather. It has inspired me to start decorating for fall. I am not doing too much this year because I won't have a lot of space to store the decorations that I buy, but I was excited to decorate a little bit.
